Neutrophil activation has been identified to contribute to blister formation in epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA). In resumption to MD-projects (MD TP7, MD 24, MD 27) we are going to test the 5 most promising in order to validate the inhibition of immune complex-dependent neutrophil activation.

My aim is to find agents interrupting the activation of neutrophils and to validate the efficacy of the substances applied systemically and topically in the local EBA mouse model. Furthermore, I want to test the effect of the most promising compound on gene expression in human neutrophils using RNA sequencing.
