MD TP3: Prevalence of ANA antibodies in blood donors

The reported prevalence of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) in healthy populations ranges from 5% to 30%. This difference may be due to the relative small sample sizes and different test systems used. We here will determine the incidence of ANA in a cohort of over 10,000 blood donors using immunofluorescence testing.
