MD TP14: Comprehensive understanding of signaling events in keratinocytes after binding of pemphigus-IgG

Pemphigus vulgaris is a severe autoimmune skin blistering disease. After binding of the autoantibodies to desmogleins, expressed on keratinocytes, signaling events are induced leading to blister formation. The exact sequence of signaling events after the binding of the autoantibodies is, however, unknown.

We here use a signal-inhibitor library to obtain detailed insights into the signaling events after binding of anti-desmoglein antibodies to keratinocytes.
