Associated TP20: Effect of differentially glycosylated antibodies on autoantigen-specific B cells

The pro- or anti-inflammatory effector function of an antibody depends on its Fc N-glycosylation (e.g. J Clin Invest. 2013; J Allergy Clin Immunol. 2012). Regarding findings in J Exp Med. 2006 we will investigate which glycosylation of different murine and human IgG subclasses have an inhibiting effect on autoantigen specific B cells in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore we would like to characterize the inhibiting receptor involved.
